Bio

Eric Meleney L.Ac, Licensed acupuncturist in Boulder Colorado
Eric Meleney L.Ac., MSOM

I have always had a passion for how the body works and began studying nutrition and body movements as a teenager. In high school, I competed in track and won two state titles. I competed in track and cross country for both high school sentence and college. As I continued into college I competed in Division 1 track for the University of Colorado and completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology. After earning my Bachelor’s Degree, I began an athletic career as a professional Triathlete and Duathlete competing nationally and internationally in Olympic and Ironman distance races.

As a professional athlete, I’ve had my share of injuries and used herbs, acupuncture, nutrition, physiology and rehab and other healing modalities. Tragically my athletic career came to a halt when I sustained injuries in a car vs bike accident.

I turned to herbs, acupuncture, Oriental Medicine, astrology and designed my own rehab and nutritional program to help with healing my back and other injuries. I was amazed at how well a herbs, acupuncture and Oriental Medicine helped me heal.

I was amazed at how well acupuncture and oriental medicine helped me heal, and I decided I wanted to learn more about this unique healing art and technique. I enrolled at Southwest Acupuncture College where I earned my Masters in Oriental Medicine—class of 2001.

Over the years, I have studied astrology, coaching, yoga, Pilates, neurolinguistics programming, nutrition, western herbal medicine, meditation, Gyrotonics, somatic movement, personal training, applied kinesiology, Native Hawaiian healing, Qi Gong, and Tai Qi. I am also well versed in Western Medicine, programming, physics, metaphysical topics, and meditation. All this knowledge allows me to incorporate intuition with Herbs, Acupuncture, Oriental Medicine, Coaching and Astrology so my clients can achieve deeper more profound healing and transformation.

“I see now how all our experiences are important to getting us to where we are and because of this it often takes a comprehensive approach to getting us healthy again. Healing is a process. I like to pull it all together, bring clarity to the problem and help people heal so they can live their lives to the fullest potential.”

When not doing herbs, astrology, acupuncture and my other arts, I love to explore the outdoors; hiking, biking, skiing, seeing the world and enjoying life. I also love to sit down with a good book on an intriguing subject.
